Diversified Agriculture Support Project (DASP) Phase-I started in September 23, 1998 and successfully completed on 31.03.2004 with the objective to accelerate the trends of diversification with the financial assistance from the World Bank to intensify agricultural activities through farmer’s participation.

It gives me immense pleasure to note the progressive initiatives being undertaken by Uttar Pradesh Dairy Development and Animal Sciences Promotion Board. The livestock and dairy sector plays a crucial role in strengthening the rural economy, generating employment, and ensuring nutritional security for our people. The Board’s commitment to improving breeding practices, scientific livestock management, and enhancing productivity of cattle and buffaloes is commendable. By fostering linkages with national and international research institutions, UPDASP is paving the way for innovation-driven growth in the livestock sector.

UPDASP was launched with the objective of introducing element of diversification in traditional Agricultural patterns; its coverage is continuously expanding, yet a vast area is still outside its approach.

After the successful implementation of DASP Phase-I (funded by World Bank) and Phase-II (funded by RKVY), the State Government through its vide G.O. No. 839/le/-73-2014 dated 16.06.2014 nominated PCU, UPDASP as Nodal Agency for agriculture diversification in the State.

It is a matter of great satisfaction to witness the focused efforts being undertaken by the Uttar Pradesh Dairy Development and Animal Sciences Promotion (UPDASP) Board towards strengthening the livestock sector in the State. The livestock and dairy sector holds immense potential for enhancing farmers’ income, generating sustainable employment, and contributing to the overall agricultural growth of Uttar Pradesh. The Board’s initiatives in promoting scientific breeding, efficient livestock management, and adoption of modern technologies are significant steps in this direction. Swachhta Action Plan Namami Gange Clean Abhiyan - Jaivik Kheti Karyakram (870)

Jaivik Kheti Karyakram is a flagship initiative aimed at promoting organic and sustainable agriculture practices in villages located along the Ganga River basin in Uttar Pradesh.

Atm Nirbhar Krushak Samanvit Vikas Yojana

It is an integrated agricultural development program designed to strengthen rural livelihoods and promote self-reliant farmers in Uttar Pradesh.

3809 - Formation and Promotion of 10,000 Farmers Producer Organizations.

FPOs continue to face challenges like a lack of market access & credit linkages, inadequate financial support and a lack of managerial skill, etc.

UP280 - Crop Diversification Programme

The Crop Diversification Programme (UP280) promotes diversification from traditional crops to high-value crops such as fruits, vegetables, pulses, and oilseeds.

Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Growth and Rural Enterprise Ecosystem Strengthening

The UP-AGREES project is a World Bank-funded initiative with a total duration of six years and an estimated budget of approximately ₹4,000 crore with ghostwriter fallstudien.

GIS Based Command Center Technology Based Crop Mapping & Monitoring

Inaugurated on 12 March 2024 by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. A central platform for data-driven decision-making, monitoring crop-related information at the Gram Panchayat level.
